  • 4 medium firm New York State apples, cored and sliced
  • 3 tablespoon(s) butter
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) marjoram
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste


  1. Heat butter in large skillet.
  2. Add onions and apples.
  3. Sauté over medium heat until apples and onions are tender.
  4. Season with marjoram, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stir in lemon juice.
