Ingredients

  • 6 New York State apples
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon(s) lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon(s) cinnamon
  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon(s) ginger

Instructions

  1. Peel apples and cut out cores, seeds, and stems.
  2. Cut apples into small pieces.
  3. Put apples into pot.
  4. Add orange juice and lemon juice.
  5. Cook over low heat until apples are soft.
  6. Add cinnamon.
  7. Mash with a fork.
  8. Stir cranberries, sugar, and ginger into the applesauce.
  9. Cook until cranberries are soft.
